Terminator Salvation

Terminator Salvation

I love this movie. It's better than the third film. This one, being the fourth film, has the best effects and higher budget. Still "Terminator 2" remain to be the best action movie ever made. This movie has new and stronger machines. The missing part was, they are not good enough to give you the same feeling you had when you watched "Terminator 2. "

Every "Terminator" fan waited for this movie, to see the future battle between human and machine. In this sequel, Christian Bale portrayed John Connor perfectly. He's really dedicated to it, yet his Batman voice acts are quite annoying. Marcus Wright, portrayed by Sam Worthington, was the coolest character. He deserves the most notable performance. Another young character Kyle Reese, portrayed by Anton Yelchin, he's more than you can imagine he is. He got the spirit of Kyle Reese, which can be seen in The Terminator.

I went to watch this movie with less expectation because of the reviews on the Internet. The movie was released about one week earlier in certain countries. After watching, I realized most of the reviews are wrong. This movie is extremely awesome. Most of the reviewers compare it with "Terminator 2." I do agree, "Terminator 2" is brilliant work, but this movie is no longer the old "Terminator." It's new "Terminator" trilogy. Most of the elements are changed, maybe to bring freshness into the new trilogy. Anyway, I would say the film crews made it. It's just, they changed the original theme music, I still prefer the old one. =)

Another defect in this movie, there's no Arnold Schwarzenegger casting anymore. So, there goes another element missing, LOL. It's the future, John Connor must protect himself and others, especially Kyle Reese. Thanks to Computer Generated Imagery (CGI). They were able to bring T800 into the movie. It had the exact look of Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The movie sets in futuristic world, lots of special effects are involved yet not so realistic. The explosions are marvelous and so does the action sequences. I'm glad they made this movie, "Terminator" is my favourite franchise. "Terminator Salvation" was worth the wait and money. I would still enjoy it for second time. The ending was excellent and the movie was satisfying, though most of the scenes are fast paced.

Rating: 9/10

Everyone deserves second chance. This is mine. - Marcus Wright

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Like most people, I got attracted by the trailer. However, the movie was not greater than I expected. It's less than I expected. "Fast & Furious 4" was better and they should have exchanged the release date. That would have been better opening for summer movies.

Wolverine is the coolest superhero character ever created and movie about his origin can achieve high potential of success. That's the reason this movie made huge profit at the box office, although it's not satisfying. Most people I know are not happy with this movie, it's very less amount people like this movie. Those that likes this movie are not X-Men or Wolverine fan at all.

I do not know the budget of this movie but I can say, the special effects are not helping, especially Wolverine's claws does not look real enough. I found it's better in previous X-Men movies. I have no idea what they have done with Wolverine in this movie.

The aspect that deserves respect from the audience is the acting skill. Hugh Jackman portrayed Wolverine better than previous X-Men movies. Other actors/actress performed well too. However, too bad, it's all ruined by the other aspect of the movie especially the script.

This movie should not have been made or at least should have been great movie. Somehow, it achieved success in box office and sequel already been planned. I hope they will improve by considering the reviews and critics. I know it's comic book based, yet look at Dark Knight, Spider Man or Iron Man. Those movies are marvelous.

Logan: I'll find my own way.
Remy LeBeau: Good luck.
