Dragon Ball Evolution

I went to watch "Dragon Ball Evolution," despite many bad reviews. I knew the movie will get such reviews since the day I saw the trailer. However, I was "Dragon Ball" fan since I was in primary school and I was waiting for the live action movie. So, I decided to watch it. It was, not good and not bad. It's not the exact same with the manga version.

The movie was about 86 minutes and I did not realize it's too soon until the movie ends. In this movie, Goku goes to high school and his grandfather (Gohan) was alive but not for long. Justin Chatwin was the good choice to play Goku but the role he played was not the real Goku. The same comment goes to the other characters.

The visual effects for the energy waves are okay and for the dragon, I expected something better. Before going for the movie, I was actually thinking about the dragon. =D

This movie is not realistic, I think it can be classified as fantasy and fun. The storyline, it's too normal and most scenes are not original. I thought it should be an action movie but there are not much action and the ending is too fast and predictable. Humors are there but not humorous. Anyway, the good thing about this movie, it's motivating. That's all.

There's an additional scenes which gives clue that there will be sequel. Jamie Chung confirmed it during an interview by MTV. I hope in the next sequel, it will be much better and the production company to consider the critical reviews of this movie.

Street Fighter: The Legend Of Chun-Li

They are warriors, some of whom possess extraordinary abilities, all of whom are determined to see their side prevail. Some fight for us; the others for unlimited power. Now, they are preparing for the ultimate battle - of terror versus beauty, light versus darkness, and good versus evil.

One of the awaited movie for this year. The movie was about Chun-Li (powerful warrior) on her adventure for justice. The storyline was well written, although I had doubt of that for the first few minutes of the movie. The movie was shot at Bangkok, Hong Kong, California and Vancouver.

The martial arts are not like anything I have seen before. The first battle scene itself was amazing and other battle scenes was even better. Kristin Kreuk's acting was pretty good. She portrayed Chun Li perfectly. Another well performed character was Nash, played by Chris Klein. He's the most hilarious.

One of the best part of the movie are the visual effects, especially the glowing energy ball created by Ken and Chun Li. It was cool. :D

Her strength. Her fury. Her vengeance. Will become legend. The movie really delivers what the tagline and trailer promised. It's just few days of release and I have heard of sequel for the movie. If it's confirmed, then it would be great. Maybe Ryu would be featured too. In fact, Ryu was mentioned at the end of the movie.

Yes Man

An enjoyable movie for December 2008. There's no other movie I'm interested in watching this month. I saw the trailer for this movie, about month ago and was glad to have new comedy movie featuring Jim Carrey. Other than him, there are Zooey Deschanel and Bradley Cooper. It's great to have those supporting casts, they are hilarious. About Zooey Deschanel, she's charming. By the way, I love her singing scene.

This movie makes the audience to feel good. If they like Jim Carrey's previous movies, they will surely like this one. In my opinion, it's the best one from him. He will take guitar lesson and he will sing too. The singing part was the most pleasant. It's not only the comedy that makes "Yes Man" fantastic but also the attachment of musical scenes.

It's really different from any previous movie from Jim Carrey. Well, this movie has good message, which is "Live your life. You will not regret it." =)

Linkin Park - Leave Out All The Rest

SONG INFO

"Leave Out All The Rest"
by "Linkin Park"

SONG MEANING

I think everyone can relate to this song, the moment they reach at the end of their life or when they want to get away to start their new life to be someone better. At that moment, this song can be good dedication to their loved ones. :)

The song starts with the writer dreamed he was gone. No one else cared other than one person. I have no idea about that one person, it could be someone special, loved one or best friend. After the dreaming, he woke up with the same feeling and thinking there's nothing he could leave for that special one to remember him after he's gone.

Throughout the chorus, the writer wants to be remembered for the person he means to his special one; despite the things that were done and could have been done.

The second verse continues as he confess of things he have done. He have paid for those things that he have caused and have taken responsibility for those things. He admit he is not perfect and others too, are not perfect as well and everyone have done mistakes.

This song taught me, all the hurts that we have, we should not ignore it, instead we should learn from it and keep moving on with life. We should not hope for something or someone would come and save us from our self or our circumstances, we should save our self. The last line reminds us that not everyone can be expected to be the same with the rest of people.

We're explorers in space, just like when we go on tour. We're leaving our home life behind, and I guess it kind of ties into 'Leave Out All the Rest', in that we have to leave things behind in order to do something better. - Joe Hahn

LYRICS

I dreamed I was missing
You were so scared
But no one would listen
Cause no one else cared
After my dreaming
I woke with this fear
What am I leaving
When I'm done here

So if you're asking me
I want you to know

When my time comes
Forget the wrong that I've done
Help me leave behind some
Reasons to be missed
Don't resent me
And when you're feeling empty
Keep me in your memory

Leave out all the rest
Leave out all the rest

Don't be afraid
I've taken my beating
I've shared what I made
I'm strong on the surface
Not all the way through
I've never been perfect
But neither have you

So if you're asking me
I want you to know

Forgetting
All the hurt inside
You've learned to hide so well

Pretending
Someone else can come and save me from myself
I can't be who you are
